Climes is recruiting an Assistant Professor in Meteorology, Climate Hazards and Society (tenure track) at the Department of Earth Sciences (LUVAL) — embedded in climes.
?? Role: Build a research programme that links physical drivers (heatwaves, cold spells, droughts, wildfires, floods, storms) with the societal processes that shape risk, cascading impacts and preparedness.
?? Start-up package (MISTRA Environmental Research Leaders): a fully funded PhD + a fully funded postdoc.
?? Teaching: contribute to UU master’s programmes in meteorology, climate and earth sciences; supervise theses; engage with non-academic actors.
